The Pitt artists' pastel pencils with their grease-free pastel lead are not only taken by artists as an ideal complement to pastel crayons for creating fine details, but have also found their own friends in their own right:
Many who do not want to give up pastel techniques and their versatility, but want to reduce dirty hands and paint dust, have turned to this particular pencil. The Pitt pastel pencil has a very compact lead that does not wear out quickly and is so richly pigmented that linear and flat work as well as smudging and blending to create fine colour gradients can be optimally achieved. When selecting the colours for this range, particular attention was paid to muted shades and earthy colours, which have a special significance in pastel painting.
